About the Event

Palliative care remains a largely misunderstood and underdeveloped field in our region. To address this, SEEDS Palliative Care is proud to announce “Compassionate Communities 2023,” a week-long series of events running from October 9 to 14. This week aims to serve as a significant milestone in:

  1. Raising awareness about palliative care
  2. Training volunteers
  3. Providing essential medical services to those in need

Special Milestones

This year’s event is particularly special for two reasons:

  1. October 10th: We commemorate the first death anniversary of Percy Jebamalar. It is in her memory that the Percy Jebamalar Legacy Foundation and SEEDS Palliative Care were established.
  2. October 14th: We join the global community in observing World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, which has the theme of “Compassionate Communities.”
